The Network: Towards Unity for Health
The collaboration between Atmashakti Trust and the Network: Towards Unity for Health (TUFH) and its Communities of Practice (CoP) will focus on enhancing the quality of healthcare for indigenous populations globally. This initiative aims to develop clinical guidelines and establish recommendations that ensure Indigenous health receives attention and care in various health systems.
One of the core aspects of this collaboration is the creation of a course aimed at increasing the competencies and skills of healthcare and social care professionals, including primary healthcare workers, particularly those serving indigenous and marginalized communities.
The collaboration also seeks to influence health profession education by encouraging institutions to adopt global competency standards. These standards are designed to equip health professionals with the knowledge and practices necessary to improve care for indigenous populations, addressing their unique health needs in public health and primary care settings.
