How we do

Vision

We envision a world without poverty, inequality, injustice and patriarchy and where everyone enjoys the right to life with dignity.

Mission

Our mission is to reach out to 7 million underprivileged families in the poorest states. We strive to work in solidarity with the poor, marginalized and other excluded communities to bring about systemic and social change to defeat poverty, inequality, discrimination, patriarchy and social injustice.

Approaches

Atmashakti is catering to 5% of India’s development sector landscape, which is a right based approach. These are community-led initiatives, more sustainable, and bring systematic change in the long run. 70% of India’s population lives in villages, and their voices must reach out to the policymakers to follow a people-centric approach. Atmashakti has a strong network of human resources and reaches the remotest part of the area, with the scope to bring authentic grassroots narratives. Its feedback is helping the government implement programs.

Strategy

Atmashakti 2.0 marks a transformative step forward after 15 years of advocacy for the rights of tribal, Dalit and marginalized communities.
Atmashakti’s four pillar strategy creates a strong foundation for long-lasting impact, establishing a robust base for future growth and progress.
